Embryo development (Earliest stage of human development) follows fertilisation of gametes( sperm and oocyte)
Embryos as allowed to grow to 4-8 cell stage in-vitro under the most optimal quality controlled conditions before they are transferred into the Uterus.
We follow --- guidelines to ensure quality control.
Different stages of development Embryo
(Normal Fertilized egg - day 1 after insemination)
Day 2 after insemination (2 - 4 Cell Embryo) .
Day 3 after insemination (8 Cell Embryo)
In the IVF program it is common to transfer the best of the embryos from a treatment cycle back to the uterus at this stage. If the patient will be having preimplantation diagnosis to test the genetic makeup of the embryo, the biopsy (removing a cell from the embryo to test) will usually be performed on this day.
