PGD: Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) detects and avoids the transfer of embryos with genetic abnormalities which works as a complementary tool in embryo transfer traditionally based on morphological evaluation in the current Invitro fertilization practice.

Preimplantation genetic screening (PGS) also known as aneuploidy screening that involves checking the chromosomes of embryos conceived by Invitro fertilization (IVF) for common abnormalities. This avoids transferring abnormal embryos to the womb during IVF/ICSI, with the aim of increasing IVF pregnancy & delivery rates.
